Google Search Console is a free Google tool that allows you to track your website’s search engine performance. It provides valuable insights into how your website is performing in Google search results, and offers tips on how to improve your ranking.
In this blog post, I will discuss the benefits of using Google Search Console for doctors’ websites, and offer tips on how to use the data from Google Search Console to improve your website’s search engine ranking.
What is Google Search Console and why do you need it for your website?
If you have a website, I recommend that you add it to Google Search Console. Doing so will allow you to track your website’s Google search performance and receive valuable insights into how you can improve your ranking.
The benefits of using Google Search Console include:
- The ability to track your website’s Google search performance
- Receive valuable insights into how you can improve your ranking
- The ability to submit your website’s sitemap to Google
- The ability to request Google to crawl and index your website’s pages
In addition to the benefits above, using Google Search Console can also help you troubleshoot website errors that may be affecting your ranking.
How to add your website to Google Search Console
Adding your website to Google Search Console is a fairly simple process. First, you need to create a Google account if you don’t already have one. Then, go to Google.com/webmasters/tools/ and sign in with your Google account.
Once you’re signed in, click on the “Add a property” button and enter your website’s URL. You will then be asked to verify that you own the website. Google offers several different methods for doing this, including adding a DNS record or uploading an HTML file to your website’s server.
I recommend verifying your website ownership using the DNS method, as it is the easiest and most straightforward method. Once you have verified ownership of your website, you will be able to access all of the features and benefits that Google Search Console has to offer.
How to use the data from Google Search Console to improve your website’s search engine ranking
One of the most valuable features of Google Search Console is the ability to see which keywords your website is ranking for in Google search results. To view this data, simply go to the “Search Traffic” section and click on “Search Analytics”.
Once you’re in the “Search Analytics” section, you will be able to see a list of all the keywords that your website is ranking for, as well as your website’s average position in Google search results. If you see any keywords that you would like to rank higher for, simply click on them and then click on the “Pages” tab.
This will show you a list of all the pages on your website that are ranking for that particular keyword. From here, you can start to optimize your website’s content and title tags to try and improve your ranking for that keyword.
